China breaks an agreement between two enemies to restore diplomatic relations.
Iran and Saudi Arabia have agreed to restore diplomatic relations following talks between the two regional rivals in China.
Based on different sides on several issues, and in proxy wars – especially in Yemen, Syria and Lebanon – few would have believed even days ago that a conflict between the two was going to happen .
The United States was not involved in the agreement in an area where it could see itself as a major power.
China broke off the Saudi-Iran talks – knowing the successful outcome made in Beijing.
What will be the impact of this agreement – in the region and beyond?
